Need more info!! Is it slow starting, or clicking, or not making a noise at all?
How old is the battery, what is the voltage, what is the amperage?
Did you search for this topic? Bring the van to autozone or something they can test your battery if you don't have a multimeter($15.00) They will check it right in the vehicle.

battery good, turns over fine, no check engine lite, trys to start after cranking but then nothing, after about 5 min. i can get it running. if check engine lite comes on i have to reset the computer i cant seem to get the check engine lite lit and make it to auto zone. had seen that there is a tsb on cold soak but havent been able to pull it up went to ford dealer he said that he cant get it becuse it was older than 10 years.

A good thing to have a spare of even if it isn't what is causing the problem now, Is the TFI module, get the little tool for removing the screws, I got the one that you can remove the bit and use other ones in it so it has more than one use. The TFi module is susceptible to heat problems(in a van engine compartment it gets hot) I would get a new one and replace it, If it cures the problem, good but keep the old one it may get you home. There was a tsb and a class action lawsuit regarding them!!
Be sure to liberally apply the grease that comes with it to the entire back of it and on the distributor (clean off the old stuff first) If you don't it will fail a lot quicker!!
Pepboys has scanners on sale right now in my neck of the woods, Picking one up can save alot of money in the future. Do the gas line dryer like I always say. Also when was the last tune up, plugs could be out of spec. DOuble check all your ground connections too sandpaper the connectors wire brush the frame or body, then use dielectric grease before reconnecting!!

Have you checked fuel pressure? If the check valve in the pump fails, it will bleed off pressure and take a bit to rebuild it.
