I have a '77 F150 2WD parts truck. It has a 351M with a 4 speed. I believe it's a T-18. I would like to swap this transmission into my '76 highboy.
Now my question is, is this possible? My '76 has a 390 with a C6 and a NP203. I know that I will need an FE bellhousing, transmission mount and also a clutch pedal. I might even have to change the center driveshaft. I am a fairly decent mechanic with good fabricating skills. I know that most trucks came with the NP435. Is this swap possible without too much work or should I just keep the automatic? I just like manual transmissions like I have in my two Jeeps.
