Since the 7700 is factory rated for a snow plow, does it have heavier torsion bars up front? Thought about maybe swaping in a set for more lift and consistancy.
One of my torsion bars is softer than the other...i think...i have one cranked up and in order to keep the truck sitting level i have to back the other one back off so that its a 1inch plus farther our... if i crank them to the same amount, one of my rear corners of my truck is much lower...
Ford Torsion bar info is a sort of Black hole for info. And from comments on the board here, I believe the 7700 is longer. (Someone chime in here)
It is near impossible to find out the rating of your current ones and compare to another bar. I was looking to compensate for the add-ons on the front.
A rumor is the GM bars supposedly interchange. (charts for ratings are available) I also heard those are common replacements for those with Desert rough duty stuff. Those apparently hold up better??? The trouble is knowing what we have to know what bar to chose.
