yes i do have the balancer for i believe the EO motor and yes the US ebay does have the correct flexplate but by the time the shipping and import costs go on it ends up about the same price, you guys are lucky having all those parts available on the shelf and in breakers yards etc .

do you have the origanl one off the e0 motor, the D5 is a 1975 balancer and is 28oz..

The date code is the only way to determine when the motor was actually made. Its the number/letter/number combo next to the casting numbers. 1st number is the year, letter is the month (alphabetically from A for january to M for December, they skipped the letter "I") last number or numbers is the day of the month.

oh crap, the D5 one was in a box of spares when i bought the motor, because of its noticeable size difference i presumed it was a 50oz damper ,this is now getting to be a pain in the ****.

The crank numbers would be the best, if you can see them, if not, get the date code from the block

2MAE is a one-piece rear main seal 50oz. crank. Looks like you have your answer...the flexplate you ordered should work, you just have to come up with a 50oz. dampener to match.

yes im sure you are rite i need 50oz . but strangely enough this engine has a 2 piece rear main seal , according to the info i found they still used 2 piece rear seals up to Dec 1982 , thanks for all your help people all i have to do is identify this other damper i have D5ZE 631 6RC and order a 50z one if its not correct .
