Harsh cruise control

Whenever I disengage the crusie on my 07 f350 it feels like a quick and firm stomp on the brake. It is worse when towing or under load. Anyone else have this problem?

Are you running a tuner? This effect is quite common on a lot of the files because the converter stays locked when you cancel the cruise, you can get around it by accelerating a little and then cancelling the cruise when you've still got your foot in it. Then just let off on the accelerator.

My main concern with the cruise control is engaging it. When engaging I will lose around 5-8mph before it finally kicks in, then it accelerates back up to where I initially engaged it. Weird

I think that is normal, my '05 did this, my '06 does it as does my wifes freestar. It is just fords programing.
