Whose chip is it? Some are married to the PCM by serial number, so you can't do exactly what you're trying. I don't know any more than that, except there's supposed to be a way to unmarry them. Maybe someone else will chime in when you tell us which one you have...
I personally wouldnt install a chip i wasnt sure about. Pcms and possibly a motor is expensive. Without supporting mods even an 80hp increase, especially without gauges can get you into trouble. I would get gauges and do the 10k mod if ur on a budget.
That is your pcm. Be very carefull with that, you need to do both sides for the chip to work. And only take enough off to start seeing the copper under the coating. I would wait till you get your own chip and do it right. But that is your call, just be carefull with that box.
