Does anyone know how the truck Lowfat installed his rear window? I got a pretty good idea, but I'd really like to know for sure. If you don't know the truck I'm talkin about it is a GORGEOUS orange slant cab from TN. It was at the Supernats, and should have wone truck of the year!! Anyway he had the rear window put in with no rubber, and it went in from the inside. It looked really clean!! Of course the rest of the truck was pretty amazing too.
Would love to see pictures of this. Have always thought of putting a mechanical window i n and would love to see any different or unusual things guys have done. . .
If you can post of his truck I can probablly tell you how its done, I went through autoglass trade school. Just off the hip if theres no rubber he may have used glass urethane available at most glass supply store.
If I am not mistaken Jim Boruff's rear glass is glued in. David King in Morristown, TN cut his glass for the chop top that was done on it.
This is the truck Terry is talking about.

Yep that'sthe truck!! I'm goin to look and see if I have a good pict of the rear window. It's awesome, I know it's glued in by urethane, but I'd like to see some "in progress" picts of how they rolled the edge on the metal. If you haven't seen it up close you dont know exactly what I'm talkin about. It's really cool!
what is so "cool" about that larger window? just that its larger? --disclaimer, that wasn't meant to sound as A-Holish as it sounds lol
The fact of being "bigger" in itself is not the cool part Felix. The fact that it now looks so awsome due to the balance it lends to the cab and the fact that is an effort that deserves great kudos. If you think about it the BBW cab from Ford gives that "balance" to an otherwise small regular window cab. Plus, all the mods that BB56 does is of quality and thought with great results. The end result of the truck speaks for itself and is one of the best looking finished trucks that I have seen. A lot of the look it gives is due in part to that bigger window. Many guys most likely stop and look at the truck wondering what is so different but don't really know what happened. That is the beauty of this type of mod. That is just my own take on it, and if I had the talent of BB56 , I would do it too just to correct the unbalanced look.
