I'm looking to lift my truck and i can't find any NC laws against it but i was just wanting to know if I missed it anywhere or if anyone knows of a law against it.
Most states have laws regarding the height of lights front and rear and bumpers.
Look at a concrete truck they have the lights in the fiberglass frontend not even cut out, and the lights are mounted in the bumper to meet the requirements.
I was just wondering where all those multi shock trucks from the 80's were at!!
The old lift it sky high and stick 12 shocks on it so the axle doesn't move fad was
not very effective. I want to see those guy's rollbars from the scary steering site!!
I looked at a IH Scout it had $600.00 runs great new motor, trans on the window,
I turned around and checked it out first it had a five gallon bucket for a driver seat, a boat seat for the passenger seat. Well that could be overlooked, The motor was nice and painted up and so where all the hoses, manifold, plug wires and transmission all the same color nothing was taped off!!(new painted motor, trans) The steering linkage was replaced with half inch rebar crossover steering, doubled half inch rebar for tie rod, and three pitman arms welded to drop it down to lessen the angle. I guess it is a cut and reweld alignment. I got back in my truck at that point I didn't even want to see the rear lift!! Remember when you add a lift to the truck in the garage make sure the thing will fit out the garage door!! A guy I worked with brother did that, they jacked up the garage to get it out!! I wonder how many of them it takes to screw in a light bulb.
