Gauges / Xmonitor

I just purchased a 200 f259 7.3 powerstroke. There were no working gauges in this truck. I was given an x-monitor which I was told would work on this truck. I did not get any instructions nor did I get any information as to what part number or model it is. The temp sensor is theere the pyro hose is there and the wire to connect to the factory trans temp sensor is there. I called BD and they acted like they could not provide me with any information other than to see their website for a manual. I went there but which manual is the right one. How do I know for sure it the unit is the right one. I know I can not afford a new one at $450.00 at this time. It would be really nice if this one is really for my truck and I could get it connected and working correctly. I looked ay their manuals and I applied power to my unit but it does not operate like their manual says it should. The display comes up with a message when it powers up stating the display is version 1.20. CAN ANY ONE HELP? BD just does not seem to want to even try to give any help on this issue. Is this their way of supporting their product? I just can not imagine they could not tell me more about this unit.

Wow that is not a good practice for a business. Sounds like they want to sell a new one instead of supporting the old ones. Look on ebay maybe or another auction site or used truck parts site, I would look for one and try to match it up to the one you got
That might get you close to the model of it!! If you can I would post a picture of it in the diesel forum those guys will help you out somebody there probably has the same one!!
