I read in Super Ford Mag a few years ago, where they put a SHO engine into a Ford Festiva, made it into a rear engine car. Stick your arms out the window and it would take flight. lol
...And today I lost the T-case in the Rover, first day I've had it back to drive to work. So it's back to driving the trusty old '68 F250...
So, after a week of checking out leads, I hit pay dirt and took a quick trip to Pleasanton yesterday to pick up my new T-case. $300 bucks, and it came with an extra Range Rover wrapped around it.
It's really rough and missing a lot of parts, but the guy said the T-case was good. Hope so...
I worked on the engine today, trying to get it started. Appears it jumped time. He thought it was just an ignition problem, but it was beyond him so he let it sit for a year or more. Now he's moving to Nebraska and doesn't want to take it along, so he put it craigslist, where I stumbled across it. Looks like I can get my money back and more parting it out.
I think I'll keep it on the trailer and just move it around while I part it out... Or...wait, how about...your house?
I wanted to call AJ but I couldn't find his number...I think I have it in a PM and my ISP was down yesterday afternoon so I couldn't get on here to find it. I tried to call you figuring you must have it but you weren't answering...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I was finished the lighting and safety chains on the tow setup for the F100. I would have loved the company for lunch and such.
I'll PM you my cell for next time.
I'll also PM you on what I found today and possibilities there ...
I think Dan has the golden touch or something. maybe he just lives right I don't know, but he sure seems to come across some diamonds in the rough for mere pennies. Nice find Dan. I am sure it will more than pay for itself several times over when parting it out.
