Gas mileage rebuilt engine
Just put in a ford rebuilt 351 in my 91 f-250, seems to be running ok, gas milage has dropped to 6.79. No outward signs of leaking and exhaust pipe is white'ish, inside. I'm wonder'in if there's somebody drain'in it while I'm sleep'in.

check your timing

what weight oil are you running?

10-30, Advanced timing a few degrees and it seemed to get worse

Do know that newly built or remanufactured engines have a ton of friction until things "seat" properly. Rings specifically.

i believe the 302 and 351 call for 10w-40... not sure how much o a difference from 30 to 40 there is... possibility?

Do your basic tune up checks. Timing, see what the plugs look like, fuel press. Then run it for a bit and break in the engine, it should get better.
