Grey lines means they are the original lines. I just got some rubber fuel line from the parts store, it was cheap like dirt. You really want to replace the caps too. and use the spring type clamps instead of the screw type. Or that's what I was told because some story about the screw type creating a void where air can get in. I did mine in about two hours and 4 beers, I just took my time. be careful with the injector lines you don't want to kink one of those puppies. There are some really detailed "how to's" that have been posted here before, I just read them and winged it...
Turned out I didn't have an air intrusion problem, mine was a weak starter, which check good in every way. It would drag from time to time and still turn the engine over around 200rpms acording to my tach. It died about a month later when my nephew was driving it. It sat 2 weeks before I got home, and when I got there I said, lets pull start this thing, that will tell me if I also have a fuel problem. I tell ya in 2nd gear, that engine didn't even make complete rev before it was running.
well, if i shut the truck off and immediately start it again, or wait a few minutes it fires up almost like it should, but if it sits for a while, it takes a while of cranking like it ran out of fuel, i think i will search the how tos and see if i can find anything cheap and simple, and go ahead and rewire my GP solenoid to a manual switch so i have no worries...i would imagine the lines would have been the original ones since i only have 44K miles...
