howdy i bought a 1977 Ford F-150 standard cab short box high boy from this guy and he said it was a high boy so he called it year ago. So i got on this page and was lookin and people are saying its only an F250 so i was wonderin does anyone know at if they made any F-150 high boys and if so how can you tell
The high boy was only a term used to identify the F-250 4x4 trucks, typically from model years 73-77.5. This is not a recognized label from Ford. There is nothing special about the high boys, they all rolled off of the production line pretty much the same way, (plus or minus some GVWR).
F-150's were not ever labeled as high boys. If an owner wants to call it a high boy, I guess he /she could do so, but the typical label was used for 73-77.5 4x4 F250's
Really kind of redundant to me, kinda like saying it is 2:00 a.m. in the morning.
Yes, however you an get 100 posts in like 2 weeks by simply copying the pasting the same responses. With search being suckky for those who don't pay, and people not even trying to search, the same stupid questions will keep gettin asked, the dead horse will continue to be beaten.

Imagine that, we would get past the is my truck a highboy, and I took my battery out and now my truck wont start posts.
I remind myself that this forum is the first step in learning the difference between your ****, and a hole in the ground. When you figure that out, its time to move on to boards where you don't know jack, then start over.
