I want to know hom many people have a Ford in their Ford and who are the "darksiders" with chevy motors in them.
The reason i'm writing this is because I had a heated debate with the 48-60 forum guys and they all seamed to have chevys in their Fords. About 3 of them had Ford engines

p.s. most of the guys telling nuge to cool it have ford engines, me included. We were just trying to get him to play nice.

And while we don,t promote brand X engines in fords. As a whole, we believe in "it is your truck, build it like you want".

Rermember Pee Wee Herman, he had a bowtie look what he was doing to his meat, same with bowtie chebbie owners in my book. I've had chebbies, dodge, amc, buick and olds hence why I own FE powered vehicles. To bad mouth other brands without owning them for years each isn't a fair evaluation.

to each there own, its your truck put in what you want.
i personnally dont like or particularly like to see a ford chopped up with a chevy in it. i have owned all brands and like them all for one thing or another.
it just dousent inspire me at all to see "another SBC AGAIN" in something. but i can understand the cost savings and such. like i said to each his own, its just not my preferance.

If you look at it like most builders do, cost is everything. I am a OEMer in what ever type vehicle you have. However, I do have a few parts on my truck that started life in something else. Like my Dodge radiator, Chevy HEI style distributor and brake calipers as a few examples. They were cost effective at the time or the kit required that specific part. Just some food for thought.

Nothing worse than looking under the hood of a flat out gorgeous old Ford street rod then find the motor was installed backwards with Mr. Dizzy in the back.
By then your appreciation of said gorgeous Ford street rod goes from a love it high to a low of how can they do this to old iron. I must be set in my ways.
