hydroboost verses vacuum

Hello everyone
I am having issues with my vacuum system on my 86 F350
6.9L Diesel. My question is will a hydroboost system off a 90 model 460 superduty work on my 86 without alot of fab work? I have the superduty for parts for one of my other trucks, but I will use the hydroboost if it will work.
Also do you think the hydroboost is a better unit, Thanks in advance John

You will have to cross reference the numbers at Ford, I am running a hydraboost unit off a 1997 Super Duty.

Direct bolt on replacement.

Since the 1997 Super Duty has disc brakes in the rear, use your 86 master cylinder so you don't blow the rear brake seals.

With the weight I haul, that is the most important upgrade I have done to my truck.
Yes I can stop, even when my gross is over 20,000 pounds.
