Well after must reading and research I have made the leap and began to buy parts for my hydroboost conversion on my 74 F-250 4x4. The entire brake system is shot on my rig so I figured that the hydroboost would be first place to start.
The hydroboost unit came off of a 99 Mustang GT. with the master cylinder. If the brakes are too touchy I will change the master cylinder to one with a larger bore, say a master cylinder from a superduty w/ hydroboost. For the pluming I am going to make custom hose using Russel ends and Russel powerflex power steering hose. All the fittings will converted to AN. This way I can make a new hose if one breaks.

It list all the Bendix hydroboost units, and the size of the input, output fittings, and style, and piston size.

I will us -6AN hose to allow for enough flow volume.

Here is a question: My truck does not rear breaks, the lines are rusted, so when I put the hydroboost on I plan to redo the rear breaks. Should I run a hard line to the rear, or will I be fine to run the Russel Powerflex hose in a -3 AN or -4AN. I have planned to rebuild all the lines and hoses using the Powerflex hose and fittings. This would allow for easy repair of busted hoses.

Question 2: My brake set up will be Hydroboost from 99 Mustang, Front axle has stock 2004 Superduty F-350 4x4 calipers, and the rear is 1999 Ford Sterling 10.5 with drum brakes--will the stock proportion valve from the 74 F-250 work? I will also be installing line locks on the front and rear.
