Changing Differential Fluid
I have a 1985 F-150 2wd with over 170K miles. The rear differential fluid has NEVER been changed. Is it too late to change it now, or would it be wise to change it?

It's never too late to change the fluid. If you go back with synthetic oil, be sure to check it a couple times a year. I like synthetic, but it can cook off, expecially in the first few thousand miles. You may need to top it off after a couple thousand miles on it. Make sure the breather vent is clear and no wheel seal leaks.
