Screen Names

OK - so obviously, my screen name is my real name, but what about yours? What does your screen name stand for and how did you come up with it?

On the Open Roads Forum (RV.net) I go by mooreadventures - it's a liitle play on my last name and the fact we have more adventures when we RV.

This could be interesting...

I own a Bronco, and Excursion.

Since I created my name I have purchased a 2005 Explorer for my Wife and a 94 Ranger for my son.

Should I change my name to BroncoExExRanger?????

Simply put... no, not unless the Admin lords smile upon you, have mercy on you, feel sorry for you, are overwhelmed by a moment of gracious generosity... you get the picture. it has happened, but is extremely rare and only considered on a case-by-case basis when there is some really GOOD reason for it. It can also result in some bugs in your accessibility to certain FTE features.

Much easier to start another ID altogether.

As for my ID... look at my signature.

I wonder how many more of my FTE brethren post over there.

I know Joe (X_Hemi_Guy) posts there as crappie_fisherman, and Jack (JJbirish) posts there too...anyone else?

I hesitate to admit this then, because I don't wanna tarnish the "smile" that has been bestowed upon me! LOL.

On the different UBB internet forums I'm registered at, I always use my first name, Stewart. If that's already taken, I register as Stewart_H.

I have no clue why I brain farted and registered as S_Harvey at FTE.

I don't even know if any of you guys realized the change, but until last week, I was still posting as S_Harvey. I'd asked the admins a few years back to change my forum name to Stewart_H, but was told name changes were rarely done.

Well, it had been a number of years, I'd been posting regularly during that time, and had recently paid to become a FTE Supporter, so I thought maybe I'd be lucky enough to have that "smile" bestowed upon me! So I humbly asked, and was very happy to learn my name would indeed be changed for me.

I eat hybrids, maybe you should become a paid FTE supporter and then maybe the admins would smile upon you too?

Hey, ya never know!

I look at it this way, FTE is one of my favorite UBB's. I like the people who hang here, the admins are pretty cool, the mods are very nice (no hidden agenda's, chips on their shoulders, or power ego-maniacs) unlike some other boards I belong to. Plus, in the few years I've been registered here, I've saved a lot more than the $20 bucks it took to pay for the one year subscription/support.

Stewart

PS - Mark, to answer your question, my forum name is pretty self-explanatory. Like you, it's my real name.

Then why did you ask?

Nah, it's $19.99 for a year.

I wanted to opt for the 3 year support, so I could also get the T-shirt, but I didn't see that option offered.

Ah, gotcha! That makes sense.

Yes, once you become a member, just request a bumper sticker. At least, that's what it say's on the Club FTE page.

Click on the link in my previous post.
