When my son started racing motocross at the age of six, he had one of those finicky Italian 50's. My genetically predisposed need to modify, and his need for more speed came to a focus on that poor, underengineered little motorcycle. This also was about the same time I got "online" and found forums full of people like me who had a need to tell SOMEONE about the new part they just spent hours out in the shop fabricating for a problem that no one really understood. Some where round this time, wife came and peered over my shoulder at the computer screen, and instead of finding me looking at **** like any normal husband, she saw what was probably at the time a fairly involved discussion about twostroke port timing. She shook her head and said that I had gone completely mad. There you have it. My real name is Dave.

My username describes how I often feel about many threads in this forum, particularly this one. It's also a vanity plate on one of my vehicles.

Well guys, if you think about it, he's not saying he doesn't care, but rather, he's asking others to "see if he does care".

Since he posted in this thread, I will hold it up as an example that yes, he does care. At least enough to post in!

Hi

My name is Dereck so I use it for my screen name.

If you see "Dereck" on another forum there is a 99% chance it's me, except on crownvic.net where I registared my name but my account must have been deleted as someone else is now using my name, the idiot even didn't use a capital letter for the "D", aarrrgghhh!

Regards

Dereck

So, not only did he steal your nickname, he didn't even have the courtesy to spell it correctly?

Now that's just plain rude!

No, not taken 'cuz VA only allows 7 characters on cager plates, and 6 characters on motorcycles and trailers. I did get a "WHO NOS" plate for my car trailer. And yes, I do care about many things.

Downsized2X = Downsized to an Excursion.

When I was looking over my Ex, the General Manager over heard me tell my wife that it is a downsize but it will work. I could hear him gasping and finially he asked what we drove. A 15 passenger E350 with usually one row out. The option was quite nice. When it was the kids stuff we were hauling, I would remove the first row so that they had to pass by (reminder) thier stuff. When it was my stuff or work related, I would pull out the rear row, which is how the Ex is set up, plus the option of removing the third row for more room (I also did this in the van). It is my commuting vehicle, it is 3 years old and has 118k on it.

Downsized, do you have any pics of your previous vehicle?

Padre, now that you give your boss all the glory, do you get roadside assistance with that? I mean, you shouldn't even get a flat tire as long as you live..
