Ok I just posted a thread about lifting my truck, now i need your guys opinon on Nitto Mud Grappler and Mickey Thompson Baja Claw. Anyone have any experience with either? Which is a better road tire, mileage, off-road, and all the good stuff.
A freind of mine runs nittos mud grapplers 36s i beleive on both of his 2500hd deisel and tows an easy 26 foot double car trailer. and he has had them awhile i think
is it because of the chevron pattern and the side biters??? i was thinking about getting some and everyone tells me that they are good in sand and "ok" in mud.
I haven't actually seen a grappler in the mud, but I'd think it'd pull better than the claws. I personally can't stand the baja claws. They only way they pull ok is if you put them backwards.
the 46's do alright.....but ive personally drivin a new f150 on mud grapplers......i was so uniimpressed......i think you better off with some bfg mudterrains...
Thanks for all the input i picked up a issue of 4x4 garage from the guys at four wheeler. But anyways they had a tire test and the nitto scored better then the claw. The nitto has been redesigned i guess with new materails plus they balance really well. Thanks guys i think i'm going to go with nitto they just look better and go with my truck.
I had a set of 35" 'Claws on my truck for a while. When I got them the tread was already at 50% but they still impressed me in the mud. I let a friend borrow them on a '98 F150 and he got stuck, but only because his front end sank, but the ruts he left were at least a 1 and a half deep and the tires cleaned themselves quite well.
