Body Swap
I was wondering, If anyone has done or heard of anyone swapping out a 73-79 cab on to, say a 80-87 chassis. I have a 79 Ford crew cab 2wd short bed. I also have a 82 Ford crew cab 4x4 long bed. I am a big fan of the 79 crew, it is kindof a rare truck, but I would like for it to be a 4x4. I am also planning a 12v cummins swap as well. I know, it sounds like a lot. My other option would be swap the front end axle, springs, etc. out from under a 78 f250 4x4 that I can get my hands on, but I would prefer the long wheel base that the 82 has. Any questions comments or advice let me know.
