crew cab long bed swap
i was wondering if anyone has put a 73-79 crew cab long bed on a 88-96 crew cab long bed frame, the reason i am asking is the 70s axles are not strong enough or to expensive to handle the power i am putting out with my diesel, blown up 3+ dana 44 front ends, twisted alxles, blown up spider gears, ring and pinions, hubs, ripped knucles off, if you can think of it i have probably done it to them, just way to much torque and it is so hard to find a 78-79 dana 60 front end so i am wanting to go to the newer frame which will handle the power and comes with the dana 60 front and sterling 10.25 rear i have done some reseach and the crew cab long bed is 2" shorter then the 80-96 crew cab long bed, just wondering if anyone has done this.

i am sure it will fit no problem will just have to build new cab mounts and im sure the 73-79 body will fit good on the newer frame but i have put a 81 body on a 79 frame and it didnt fit to good.
