Mike are you rebuilding one, buying one already built? Look at the 390 rather than 360 same bore different crank and a lot better motor.

Michael. John is right, you shouldn't be buying a rebuilt 360. If you are looking to get yours done, get a crank and rods from a 390 and build it up that way. Any year 390 crank and rods will work. If you asked for this at the shop where I work, a rebuilt 390 could be had for around 1600-1700$. Compare that to 2800$ for the same thing from Jasper. Actually not the same, ours are better. We take the time to make sure your oiling is up to snuff, I don't think the bigger chains are willing to do that sort of detail work. If you are thinking about the truck you have now, how about finding a 390 to build while you drive on the 360 that is in the truck now ? DF
I have been pricing them for about two day, because my went to heaven two days ago, I have checked around and they range from $1000 to $1500 here for a rebuilt. People can say what they want that there not that good, but I purchased a 302 from Autozone a while back and have had no problem. I'm fixen to purchase my 390 from Autozone for $1000 with a one year warranty and unlimited miles.
