Hi as you all know i'm still in the market for a powerstroke. I found a f350 on ebay, and would like to know what the difference is between that and a f 250.
Also, would fuel milage vary between the two.
thanks
F-350 is rated at 1100 pounds heavier front axle (spring) capacity, and the F-350 has a 3.5" spacer block between the rear axle and the spring as opposed to a F-250 which is only 2". To turn a F-250 into a 350, just swap out the rear blocks/u-bolts and add a leveling kit. Thats ALL there is to it.
Fuel mileage is the same , EXCEPT when you have an 8 inch lift and larger tires.
I would guess that truck will get about 13-14MPG with the lift and bigger tires (wind drag, and higher rolling resistance).
very nice looking truck, obviously well cared for.
The truck in question probably does only have a six inch lift. There's just a good gap that fools ya provided by the little tires on it. I can see a drop in fuel mileage to 13-14 with 37s but not with 315/70-17s (they're about 33 inches tall).
There's several members here that live in the Houston area, maybe you could get someone to check it out. Looks good, but sight is deceptive.
You know, i was wondering where was the 5th door also?
Couple more questions . What type of lift do yall think that is, i know it's hard to tell, but thought maybe one of yall might know.
What would be a good offer for the truck?
SolidGround has a good idea, and instead of starting maybe a new thread, would one of you members that lives in Houston like to check that truck out for me?
This auction has ended, but here are more pictures of yall are interested.
The five door is either a typo, or he is considering the topper the 5th door like in the case of a hatch back, usually the hatch is also considered a door.
