New F-100
OK.... 1970 isn't new.... But this is what I got. A 1970 F-100, Carolina Blue, 3 sp (2 sp with a granny??) with a 351 Cleveland. What all do I have? Bolt pattern and tranny model etc would be awesome. The shift pattern is wierd... well to me. Left and down is 1st (granny), middle and up is reverse, right/up is 2nd and right/down is 3rd. 2WD and in good shape. Lemme know?

That is a regular three spd tranny, but it sounds like someone put a floor shifter on it. It's the same tranny they use for the column shift, but usually after the column gets worn out and don't shift well, they put a floor mount shifter on it.

Yep... it's on the floor and I had first, "What the hexx!" moment today. Wouldn't shift. Lever would move, but no gears. Crawled up under and tightened 6 bolts and 9 nuts. Found a LOT of loose stuff. Looks like some used a universal shift kit and made it work. I'm gonna need a few extra washers..... And a LOT of locktite. I saw where they cut the hole for the floor shifter too... makes sense. What about axles and bolt pattern? I'll get the VIN up here soon...
