transmission bolt up

Am I correct in thinking that a 300ci out of a 79 f100 custom w/3 sp manual tranny will bolt right up to a manual 4 speed w/granny gear in an 83 f250 without changing the bellhousing? The 83 f250 currently has a blown 300ci. I think I read in another post somewhere that most all manual transmissions will bolt up the same to the 300ci.

yes that is correct. this is a good time to install a new clutch,pressure plate and throw out bearing. be sure to grease the throwout bearing so it can slide on the outputshaft properly.
