No, really, I don't know. I wasn't on alot at that time.
lol i know, i am not shaking my head at you... shaking my head at some folks here and the whole situation! e-mail pro or ivan over at pirate, they will fill you in. i'm not doing it here or they will cut both of us
One question, what was the cut in the diff cover for? Did he relocate the fill plug? Also, how well will the pinion bearings get oiled with that setup?
looks like he just cut the fill plug and fliped it over to raise the hole up,to cool. but did anyone notice it,s not a ford the diff is on the wrong side. i wonder how hard it would be to take the tubes out and swap them side to side? i got some gm axles out here all rebiult with 4:56's and would love to put'em under my 85
VERY NICE WORK!! Wouldn't it have been easier if he would have just drilled out the welds connecting the pumpkin to the axle tubes and turned them? That is what I would have done...or am I missing something?

easier said then done... those axle tubes are pressed in pretty hard and they are hard to just rotate! best to pull them out twist and press back in.
however, if i was going to be in there anyways and do all that work... i prolly would have bit the bullet and bought a slick set of dedenbears! might as well after all that!
