I bought a set of those when I was 19 and hated them. They were useless for me because neither one held much of anything and what was stuffed inside was difficult to get out. Unless you need a full / clear bed, I'd recommend a cross box- either on the rails or set down inside.
Of course, if all you want to carry - ever- is a set of jumpers and a log chain- well, I suppose it would work for that.
I was going to get them.I saw them in american van,but with the edge of the truck bed may get in the way of the draws.I think you got to keep them away from the side of the truck bed.I went with the cross over box.
I want some of those too, I think I saw some abs and some metal ones. I'd prefer metal, the plastic ones I saw were pretty cheap but a lot less expensive. I've got too much crap behind the seat and don't want to give up my bedspace to a cross bed box.
Don't waste your time with them. My friend got a single belly-box and bolted it down in the back corner of his bed. One of the ones that you're supposed to bolt up under a service bed, from Tractor Supply. If you don't care about looks as much and need the bed space, run a side box down the rail, they work great.
I've got one of those small 5 drawer boxes that bolts in the back corner of the bed. It sits no higher than the bed sides and is no wider than the wheel well hump. Craftsman,Northern Tool and Tractor Supply sell em. Got mine from Tractor Supply, bright tread aluminum, hold a whole lot of tools & stuff. I like it cause when I have the tailgate down to work on stuff or sharpen the saw everything is right there, and with the tailgate up and locked nobody can pry into your toolbox.
