Has anyone esle had the fuel guage stick. My truck just started reading full at all times. I reset the mpg tracker on the ceiling, and the trip odometer; neither did anything helpfull.
I would appreciate any advice.

I just had my fuel sending unit replaced on 06 f350 PSD 36,200 miles. Filled the tank, turned on the ignition and mine slammed to bottom and stayed there. Get a code reader and check for fuel sending unit codes. thanks rc
You can also put the ODO into its test mode and it will display fuel levels. Here is a link to that thread. There are a couple of ways to get into the mode depending on the year and options on your truck. This should help to isolate to the sending unit or the gauge. If the ODO fuel level shows OK then its your gauge, if not then sending unit. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...new-today.html
Nobody has really answered for sure, but I believe the FP is actual fuel level (Fuel Present??), in gallons. For your reading of FP 252, that would mean 25.2 gallons in the tank.
I've had problems with my fuel gage. Had the sending unit replaced and cluster. Ever since this started I have no idea what's in my tank and it appears I'm only getting 10mpg and less than 300 miles per tank.
My current FP is 038 which I guess means 3.8 gallons...meaning the gage is right and the truck has a new problem...less fuel economy. I'm sick of this truck already.
