You could just take it to an auto upholstery shop and get them to recover it. The ones on Ebay, about half of them have been recovered.

I bought one of the kits off of e-bay and reuphostered it myself. It wasn't hard and it looks good. The kit was like $20 bucks with shipping.

I looked around a few years back for one (mine was not only peeling/cracked on the top, the plastic inside it was broken appart) and was able to find one on e-bay that did the trick. Only thing was that these seem to be a popular part so the cost is not very low.
