4r100 problems
I apparently overloaded reverse gear and damaged something. The trans was fine before I overloaded it and now after it warms up it lugs in reverse and sometimes it kills the engine. You can unstick it by snapping the throttle and will act fine. After driving it for several miles after the mishap it lugs (acts like taking off in high gear) in forward gears also, sometimes. I have not driven it much since it happened to keep from damaging it even more. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any suggestions other than a new trans? I have not tore it apart yet and wondered if I could possibly get away with clutches and maybe solenoids? It's an 02' F-250 4x4, 7.3L
