i have a 93 f-350,e4od.if i clear the computor it shifts perfect, goes into every gear, perfoms like it should.drive it for approx.10 miles after it is warmed up and sometimes if you come to a stop in drive it acts like it wants to kill the motor in drive.sometimes its fine, sometimes if you put it in reverse or first it dies.if i put it in low range,i can put it in reverse and first and it seems to work.i changed the fluid, filter, mlps, checked detent,it still does the same thing, any body have any advise,i could use it.thanks.
You need to run the KOEO self test and see if it gives you any clues, the best place to start.
It tending to stall out at stops sounds like either coast clutch issues or maybe TCC lock up issues depending on what speeds you achieved before coming to a stop.
Might be something as simple as a bad connection, if so the self test will guide you as to what part of the system is effected.
