I have priced some different types of tires for my old farm/hunting truck. I need the truck for snow running and hunting more then anything. I have priced some nitto terra grappler tires for $118 a tire. Anyone any use them, and if so what did you think.
never seen them in snow, but a buddy of mine had 35's on his duramax, i remember i had to come pull him out because he got stuck in wet grass trying to cross a 1 foot deep dranage ditch, in 4-low..haha definately look around i'm sure there are better all terrians, if not go with the nitto mud grapplers.
Never used them myself, but my friend has and feels they are equal to, (or in some cases... ie. ice), better than BFG all-terrains. Guess that only helps if you'ved used the BFGs though!
I run them and have had no complaints. I run the 315s with my current truck and had 295s on my old truck. I even went through a ton wet nasty mud to help pull a guy out with this truck and never once felt like I was going to get stuck.

I have used BFG all-terrains. My last hunting truck was a toyota and i had them on it. In my opinion i have not ever seen anything equal to them in the snow. I havn't used the terra grapplers yet though and the BFG's are a little out of my price range this time around.
I have 35in terra grapplers on my truck now n have no problem in the snow or mud. But the best tire ive had in the snow was the BFG mud terrains n that was on my old 96 f150 with a 4 1/5 in lift...14in of snow was not a problem but i did have a locker in it too
They have excellent reviews and are somewhat affordable (and yes, they look purdy ) BFGs are great tires, more expensive. Toyo ats, or pro comp xtremes have great reviews.
I haven't heard anyone having trouble on ice/snow with them with one person driving through 12+" out on lakes with no problems. Note that I HAVE heard bad things with MUD tires on ice.
Currently I'm weaing out a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT/s (which are great) but will be ordering a set of NTGs soon. Where did you get your price btw?
I just got rid of mine. I had 285-75-17 and they were a pretty good tire. I do a ton of highway driving, tow often, winter drive often. On hard pack on the highway they are good. In deeper snow, I've had better, in the rain and wet they are good. As they wore down they got pretty loud and rough. I did get 65k on them and they still had useable tread. I would give them a 6 out of 10. I gave them up for Goodyear Silent Armor pro. I heard good stuff on these.
