'08 tailgate with the step question
I'm taking delivery of an '08 soon and I opted for the tailgate step feature. A saftey bar/pole is integrated into the tailgate which makes for an uneven surface. Has anybody removed this bar/pole yet? I'd like to remove the whole saftey bar assembly and install a flat diamond plate panel. In my business I'm constantly sliding objects/materials in and out of the bed plus I perform some work on it from time to time so I need a flat surface. Any thoughts?
