frame differences between 91 & 93
To modify the 91 frame I cut (with a tourch) the front mounts on the plow frame and reshaped the push plates up at the upper frame. I then had to cut the sway bar mounts off the truck. I used the sway bar from the 91, it mounts to the plow frame. I welded up a bunch of "nuts with handles" in order to feed them through the frame rails, I had to cut the bumper in 4 locations to clear the uprights, I had to cut the back rail of the upper frame to clear the bumper.
Lots of holes to drill, lots of fabrication, and the controls inside need custom brackets and holes cut in the dash.
It can be done,,,, but if I had to do it agian I'd look for a 93 lower frame and control kit.
The fisher web site has down loads of the installation instructions for both years.
By the way, nubee here, this site has been very helpful with getting my truck fixed and ready for a New England winter.

The front of the truck did drop by about 2 inches when I got the frame on, and thats without the blade.
I tried the bags on my last truck (the one I stripped the plow off) but after about 4 years they developed leaks, in the plumbing and the bags. I then switch to HD springs. I've saved the springs (they are only two years old) and will be installing them this weekend.
As it turns out you have to compress and detatch the upper spring mount to get
the bags in, so one more nut at the spring base and the springs are swapped.
Thanx for the suggestion
Why the special cutting in the dash? Was it due to the control cable length?
Mines the old speedcast also not the newer MM.
Since I had everyting on the old truck and wanted to make this a $0.00 project, this is how I approched it.
We are talking a different year, mines a 92 yours 93 but the frames are the same. They changed between 91 and 92. As I understand it the sway bar was an option that came standard on the XLT but not always on the custom, (someone here can correct me if I'm off base on that one). The mounts should still be on the frame I cut them off in order to get the plow frame to sit at the right height relative to the truck frame. Doing this made most of the bolt holes behind the front axle line up.
On the dash,,,, the older dash has a metal frame where as the newer ones most of the dash frame is plastic. As is the mount from the 91 will not mount to anything under the 93 dash, on the 91 it bolted to the dash frame to the left of the column.
I did think about trying to mount it to the parking brake mounting points but it was in the way.
On mine (I'm not quite done with this part yet) I'm mounting to the right and have the control handle where the little cubby box was on the lower right dash. this way my knee does not bash against it when getting in and out of the truck. There is a bracket between the lower dash and floor board that when modified make a fairly solid mount. Oh and being an auto I am using the clutch linkage hole to pass the cables through.
Agian it can be done, so if you have everything from the 91 and it's all in good shape, just plan on taking your time, I fit checked and reworked no less than three times to get it mounted the way I liked it. Ive had the front bumper on and off a lot so I could mark it just right for rework. In the end I think it is a more robust frame than the newer ones (it has the long push bars that mount up under the cab) and it fits very neatly up under the front end. I don't plow for a living just my own areas so I don't plan on having any strength issues, If I were doing alot or a parking lot I'd get a 250 or 350.
