Wheel spacer/adapter help

I have a 64 that is 5 on 5.5 and want to put some mustang rims that are 5 on 4.5. I have seen ones on ebay, does any have or know if an 1.5" spacer with adapter will be too much or too little? thanks

Well they are actually off a new v6, I got them for free. I just need something to roll to the Turkey Rod Run in November. They will not be permanent, I will get some cobras or bullits maybe. I have a set of Dodge
wheels that were about the same size and the right bolt pattern, when I tried them on, the tire was hitting the frame on the top, and the rim hit the hub in the front.

Those are metric bolt pattern and also have a huge positive offset.

You would need a 4 or five inch thick adaptor to run those. You will pay more for those than a new set of wheels in the correct offset and pattern.

So did they change the pattern of the new mustang?
If they did I will just get new rims, but do you think the 1.5" spacer will work to run Cobra Rs maybe?
