Thumbs up Cryodiagnostics!!!

Keyboard duster is a tool? If you turn the can upside down the liquid freon comes out!! If you got a intermittant problem or if the truck won't start when it is Hot, take the can and start spraying components and trying to start after each one, Different size parts and different materials will take different spray times (be careful and use the shortest time possible) a metal part will take a shorter time than a plastic part due to conductivity!! So you'll have to experiment!! I use a paintball tank with a on/off valve and a hose with a insulated handle, It is a lot cheaper ($2.00 refill for CO2) in the long run and cooler looking!! If your woman won't let you put parts (bearings, dirt bike cranks, etc)
In the freezer just blast it with the cryotool and install. It is actually faster than putting bearing races in the freezer!! Also if you have a part stuck and say there are rubber pieces involved not letting you use a torch, You can freeze the part to get it to shrink, instead of expanding the other part of the assembly with heat. Or you can use the two at the same time, Heat the outer part and freeze the inner part!! JUST BE CAREFUL DO NOT SPRAY YOUR FINGERS or you'll lose them quicker than you think!!!!

Actually, that would point out a cold failure. And why is everything always so exicting that it needs multiple exclamation points? It makes me think of that Mathew Lesko guy in his question mark suit..........
You really need to be careful using this stuff, some of them have chemicals that can erode plastics if sprayed directly out as a liquid, and a bearing with tight clearances can be damaged by the sudden contraction. It is also very possible to warp parts due to differences in contraction rates.
Not to mention the fumes from some brands are pretty bad-

Maybe he meant that you could cool off a suspected part when it was failing. If you could find a repeatable scenario, it could be helpful.

I did get lost on the paintball tank commment. Is this a switch to a CO2 system? Good idea, the first reference to freon was pretty scary. I think that CO2 would be pretty safe.

They do make a cold spray for troubleshooting electronic stuff.

Maybe you should reread the post? And pay attention to the exclamations! Did you ever try to put crank bearings on a small motor? or blind bearings in a motor case? Keyboard duster is meant to be sprayed on plastic keyboards and yes the same chemicals come out wether upright or otherwise! Heres the scenario truck starts good, runs fine, go into store uhhohh won't start, spray coil off(or whatever component) because when it get's hot!!! It is losing contact, thereby cooling it returns it to cold state and it makes contact!! Better than waiting 3 hours on the side of the road!!! I use CO2 because it's cheaper in the long run, But the keyboard duster is just as safe it is only R-152!! Not to mention it but you should always exercise caution with any spray in a enclosed area! Negative much?

I don't want to have any kind of arguement here. But, you might try rereading both your posts, and pretending that they're from someone that you don't know.

I found post #1 confusing. Post # 2 offered some clarification.

No offense intended.

Hmmm seems like a good idea if you have the right situation. And just to second that stuff that comes out of the keyboard duster when the can is upside down is COLD. I know somebody who sprayed it on his nipple for a bet. VERY BAD IDEA!

sounds like our friends would get along well. my roommate sprayed it into a plastic cigar tube to get the cork to pop out, then ended up pouring the liquid onto himself. but this is also the same guy that put on a football helmet and smacked it with a baseball bat, twice. i guess some people never learn.

Don't let them guys play with dry ice!! Have you seen the CRC Freeze off product?
It is for getting stuck fasteners loose it actually makes the bolt real cold!! Probably has the same stuff "FREON" that is in the keyboard duster I forget what number the freon is in it, I think r-300 somewhere up in the 2 or 3 hundred series. All spray chemicals are bad for you to a certain extent, always use them with proper ventilation and don't smoke while using them!! I hate getting carded when buying fuel injector cleaner or spray products, most kids don't have money and they just look under the cabinet to find their high!! Have you seen the knuckleheads are actually drinking that hand sanitizer to get drunk, It is killing their livers not good. Leave a bottle of tequila around if you have teenagers, better they drink that then something that is like instacirrosis!!
