yay!!! pretty girls!!! and the trucks are nice too!
Hey, pretty girls truck, both have there attractions. I like looking under the hood of either. The truck is easy cause it is serviced at regular intervals but with girls, you never know........chuckle.......
Go get the VIN checked with an OASIS report. It will tell you what has been done to the truck under warranty.
The 03s were the most problematic. Most of the problems had to do with the original injectors failing. The newer 6.0s use better injectors. I think the old ones were C94s and the new ones are C95s. Turbo sticking and failure is common as well.
Head gasket failure is usually from the head bolts stretching. Sometimes it's other things such as pinched head gaskets from the factory. Either keep the engine stock or talk to one of the guys (I think it's Matt) in the 6.0 section about tuning.
EGR failures are pretty common but there are delete kits for that.
ok, again, thank you. im gonna run over to the ford dealer i used to work at and have them give me the oasis report before i even go look at this truck, then im gonna call the sales person and ask if it was EVER equipped with a plow. hope to hear good news.
well i got the oasis report. there are complaints. 1) Vehicle getting poor mileage.(NPF)
2) Ford recall 3) Vehicle still getting poor mpg.(NPF) 4) Ford Recall.
looks like no major work was done so looks like i should be alright. you think if there was a serious problem it would have been addressed. i cant remember the recall numbers offhand, will post later, the papers are in my truck and im in work.
