I've got an 06 F350 Diesel that I bought brand new 5 months ago. I've got 2" of lift in it, and I can't go much higher if I still want to fit into the laser wash that I use twice a week..
A buddy of mine keeps suggestion air bags, he says "you can go up 6" or down to factory height in 30 seconds, and get an excellent ride to boot!!".
Is this true? I couldn't imagine a setup like this going in without major modifications to the truck..
For a real air bag suspension, it would require major modifications to the truck. There are limitless possibilities really. You certainly could still plow with it if you had the proper setup.

They have a pretty good selection of different types of rear suspension systems. These are work suspension systems designed for excellent ride and load handling similar to over the road truck suspensions, bus suspensions etc.
I have not installed any full air ride suspension systems. I have researched them fairly well regarding an install in a 3500 Dually Chevrolet a while back. Stengle is hands down the best source I found for a variety of systems.
I really like the TALON system they have. It is more complicated and expensive but I suspect it has the best characterists, maintains pinion angle and suspension geometry. The added volume of the air tank they have on each side helps to maintain the effective rate at a particular load/pressure setting.

Actually for keldermans "air ride" it's about $1400. I don't particularly care for this system because it is reusing the factory springs and adding a spring cusion to the shackle. I guess it works. You can also see all the bracketry and bags from behind.

air ride maes a true air ride,,i had it on my 05 dually,,unbelievble ride and the dump valve would drop it rite to the ground. kelderman makes a true air ride for about 4000 buks..it has 4 bags and looks like it may be better than the airride set up. both completely replaces the stock springs.
