I personally use the firestone air bags, but since I installed these I rarely fill them up:

I don't know anything about the Sumosprings.

I've never had any issues with airbags. I've installed, used and enjoyed them. I have not ever tried any fixed solutions, but the simplistic design intrigues me. They appear to be progressive, so they won't affect the ride any more than needed for the job at hand. There's no need for onboard air, or for finding a compressor or bicycle pump to adjust the level of the loaded truck. I would never suggest one was better than the other without trying both for an extended time, but I would likely give the SumoSprings a shot.

If you are wanting to fix your truck's squat, improve towing handling, etc, air bags are a great choice. Since you've had them before, you know all about them. If you'd like me to find a kit for your application, send me a PM with your info. We also have a rebate going on now on airbag kits and compressor kits. Thanks!
