As long as you drive with some discretion you should have no trouble whatsoever running AGG Race as a daily driver. Depending on your level of self controll the law might not like it though. As for the Ultracomp If you are wanting more than the AGG Race send me an email at efoster@spartandieseltech.com with what you are wanting to do.
Evan
was that self control law enforcement part directed at me ??
anyway i've run the ultra comp on the street plenty, and it can be done with no worries. it is a hot file, i won't lie, and your egt's will be at the top end of gauge even when driving around to the mall like a granny...
by the way evan, i LOVE that hybrid file ! !! ! it does shift better than factory, and the transmission relearn wasn't even noticeable. it never jerked or felt weird from the moment i reflashed it ! ! this will definitely be my new street file.. but i keep saying that every time you write me one ! ! !
yup.. i am running ultra comp file that are somewhere between the "studded" and the "non studded" files.. i have studs in my garage, but not in my motor yet. i've never had a puking problem so i feel comfortable running a little hotter file than the average bear. the truck runs like a raped ape and has never shifted so well, not even when stock ! !
evan and matt and the whole SPARTAN team are great at what they do ! !
If you do stretch the origional studs and the puking is happening because of running too hot of a file, can you throw new studs and hg on the truck and not worry about the heads warping? Or do the heads warp once the hg blows?
Im asking because I don't have any problems with the truck as far as puking with my excal3, but if I do decide I want to try alot hotter tune in it Im worried that It could turn major and really screw me. Studs and hg arn't bad, new heads,$$$$
My truck was puking from day 1. I didn't notice how much until a few weeks ago when I noticed I was down quite a bit of coolant. I filled it back up and then the next day it wasn't even visible in the degas bottle. Took it to ford and the said head gaskets were leakin. Just my luck, the mechanic had a set of ARP head studs he removed from an engine that he would sell me for $300. Got em installed under warranty too. Course then I went to pick it up and something blew up in cyl #7. Destroyed the injector and the block. So now a new short block is on order along w/ whatever else it blew up lol. Seems I'll have a whole new motor piece by piece before long!
