If you look at the air inatke tube on your F150, it has two large areas that have square dimples and smaller area configure the same. Does anybody know what the function of this contraption is? They look like some type of bladder???
I hate to partially highjack this thread but it is about the intake. I wandered if everyones stock intake is very loud? When the windows are up and the radio is somewhat down, when you take off from a stoplight, the intake noise is very loud. It reminds me of when we had those big 4 barrell carbs and we would flip the top over on the stock air cleaner and when you would get on it, you could here the air sucking a block away. Just curious if everyones is as loud as mine?
Yep, mine is also quite loud unless I accelerate very gently. One reason I wouldn't get an aftermarket intake. Or exhaust for that matter. Quiet is good!
