Brake shimmy

Brake shimmy
1995 Explorer experienced shimmy only when braking, especially at high speeds. Thought it was a warped rotor. Had all 4 rotors and the brake pads replaced. Still experience the shimmy. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I agree it does sound odd but it did get brand new pads and rotors all the way around. Tires have been rotated and balanced and still, the vibration/shimmy exists. I suppose it could be a bad rotor but that would be unususal, since these were brand new Powerslot rotors.

Never thought of that.
It appears from all that I have read that, with the symptoms I have described, it will almost always be related to a rotor, correct? That was my original inclination but after having them all replaced with brand new rotors, I began to wonder if there was something else that might likely be the problem.
