has anyone here used the pioneer products harmonic balancer. advance auto parts lists a new one for 100 bucks and a heavy duty version for 140. are these good balancers or is there something else i should go for?
I think my Dorman one was $76. It was actually slightly off balance though, not enough to worry about on most motors, but I had mine balanced true.
Pioneer makes a lot of flywheels/flexplates and they have been around for a long time. I would say they are probably a good balancer. TMeyer Inc, this forums sponsor also sells harmonic balancers, it would be worth checking out.
well i dont mind paying a little more if its a good product as this is a project motor so i dont have a deadline to have it done. on the other hand tho i really cant justify paying 350 dollars for one of the high performance ones from summit or jegs
