Hello all -
I have an '88 F250 Supercab 4X4 that has the split side window. I like the look of the newer trucks without the split. Has anyone ever updated a split window? Also looking for suggestions/tips about updating the front end. From what I understand it is pretty much all bolt on. Does the radiator mount also get changed out? Thanks in advance!
Are you talking about the door windows, taking the vent window out? I'm not sure about Ford but I do know that on GM trucks you have to do some modification to the door to install the one piece windows. Call or e-mail the company that makes them, they should be able to tell you everything you need to know.
i think he means the windows on the supercab trucks.. 80?-91 had split, 92-97 had a single piece of glass in there
i'd agree thats what he's talking about. seems from memory that the older trucks with the split window, the split is in the body itself. smeems like a lot of work to me.
Sorry all, I am talking about the window on the extra cab. Not the door window. I did some dismantling the other day. The piece that splits the window is plastic and can be unbolted from the inside (the interior panel has to be removed). Whats left is a solid window with the rubber moulding around it but there is a gap around it. I think if I were to get an interior panel from a 92-97 and the newer rubber moulding, that should do it. Has anyone ever done that?
