How did you guys that worked with injectors/glowplugs torque to oil spouts down? Is their an adapter I can buy to I can accomplish this? Do I do this before I place the injector into the bore?
Also, their's no way I can get my torque wrench to tighten down the gp's either. Can I use a suvial to do this?
I think I usually use 1/4 inch drive sockets and extensions then just use a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter on my torque wrench. A 1/4 drive deep well socket should fit down in there for the GP. As for torqueing the oil spout what problem are you having? I think they are just allen head bolts.
oh yes they do have socket type allen heads. Most parts stores will have some cheap ones that will work for you. just take the bolt with you to get the right size.
If you have extra allen wrenches cut one & then use a 6pt socket on it. Or with extra sockets&a-wrenches match'em n weld together.
I agree that will work, but a set of "no name" allen sockets are not very expensive. Besides, remember if you have them you won't ever need them again.
Sears usually has em on sale for a set for around $20.00 in 3/8" size, and maybe $12.00 for cheapo's 1/4" at a Shucks/PartsAmerica store. I know Shucks goes by a different name in mahy other states..jsut can't remember it right now. COme to thin of it, I bet Wal-Mart has a cheap set too. Home Depot..Lowes..ect...
I just brought out the plasma cutter and torched off the end of the allen wrench. A very cheap and efficient procedure lol. Thanks gentlemen for the suggestions.

Saw the Sears ad in Sunday's paper. Both the SAE and Metric sets are on sale for $19.95 a set. They also have 6 pt combination wrenches on sale for $19.95 a set again both metric and SAE.
Remember when you are torquing with swivvles or any sort of extension, that the extension does change the torque ammount needed.
I'm not sure on the offsets, its only a few pounds or inches for smaller extensions, but large extensions, conversions from to different sizes, and swivels will have a lot different effect on the actuall bolt torque compared to the wrench.
