I noticed the last time I polished my wheels that the chrome was chipping off of the center caps and some of them were even rusting. So I emailed the tech at Micky Thompson and asked how much they would run me. I gave him little information all I said was I had a set of DC1's on my 99 F-150 and the chrome was chipping on the center caps and thats it. I got an email back saying give me your address and I will send you 4. So I did and got an email back saying they were on the way! Totally painless I figured I would have to dig out the receipt and send in the flawed center caps and so on and so on but that was not the case. This is why I will always deal with Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek! I just figured I would share this as a thanks to them.
You lucked out there, you don't find many companies with a true "no questions asked" warranty, heck it's hard to find someone who will acctually stand behind thier warranty.
Yeah I am thinking about emailing him back telling him that my current wheels are dirty and i would like to inquire about replacements. lol No that is probably why people don't stand behind their waranties is because people abuse them.
I also asked him about the bead lock simulators that were supposed to be out for this wheel a few months after they came out but apparently they were put on hold for undisclosed reasons which is too bad as I really think they would look awesome on the DC1's
I received the caps yesterday and I must say WOW! the actually re did them in a polished stainless steel (instead of poorly chromed steel) I wonder if I am not the only one that had this problem and that is why they re did them and made it so easy for me to get them.
There is really no difference between the old and the new except the new set is stainlees and the other is not. I will still get some pics up but I have to polish my wheels first!
