1977 highboy turna hard

hello. so ever since i have been driving my 1977 highboy it turns very hard but only when idling and not moving. if i rev it to like 3000rpm's it turns good. I just replaced the power steering pump thinking it was it but it didn't help at all. Also it has the original ram-assist steering. Any help? thanks!

What size tires? have you serviced your front end lately? I.E. greased your ball joints, tie rod ends, etc? How old are your axle U joints?

33" tires. and i dont believe i have greased it lately. would that make a difference since it has power steering?

Mine was like that too, didn't want to turn at idle speed but would when the engine was revv'd. In my case it was the power steering pump that had went bad and was causing the stiff wheel.

Just something to keep in mind.
