If I see a flag of another country flying by itself inside US borders I have to assume we have been invaded and open fire on the soldiers/invaders that are attacking our country.
You never fly another country's flag in place of the home nation unless you are taking control of that area.

"He was frustrated a foreign flag was flown without an American flag nearby"
The sheer ignorance being used in this thread is going to be the end of me, i hope i misread something, which is common. I skim over material too fast sometimes.
The medal you say he should get should be a picture of Lincoln with a thought bubble that reads, "Are you serious? Someone kill me now."
If I see a flag from another country flown by itself over a public institution without the U.S. flag above it or next to it, I'll burn the foreign flag myself. Diversity, tolerance and multiculturalism are just code words for "undermine the United States". Nothing more. I don't give a crap what side of the border New Mexico USED to be on, they're part of the U.S. now and should be flying that flag. If the university is allowing students to fly a solo Mexican flag, they've forgotten which country they're in and perhaps they need to be relocated. They are no longer welcome in this land of opportunity in my mind.
Isn't there a law that says you're not allowed to fly another flag without the US flag flown higher? If memory serves, you're not even allowed to fly a state flag higher than the US flag. Instead of trying to charge the guy who tore it down, why don't we charge the people who were flying another country's flag without ours even anywhere near it?
I dare someone to go to Quebec Canada and plant a USA flag on their private front lawn and see how people react.
What he did, I wouldn't have done. I wouldn't convict him either.
They would probably laugh at you because your house would be the only one with a flag on it. Most Canadians are pretty low profile about their nationalities and it's kind of unusual to see a home or car with a flag on it.
It bothers me when immigrants do it too. Multiculturalism was supposed to be a way for the French and English to both have a place to practice their religion and speak their own language and not be at each others throats. Not for every ******* who moves here to wave a foreign flag and speak a funny language.
When we moved here my dad refused to join the Dutch club. He said if he'd wanted to hang out with a bunch of Dutch people, he'd have stayed in Holland. This is Canada and people who come here need to learn English. Same goes for America. And if you move to Quebec you should learn French that's not too much to ask. And if you want to wave a Mexican flag and speak Spanish, go do it in Mexico. There's like a dozen countries down there that speak Spanish. Go to any one of them and you'll fit right in.
my wife knows someone that immigrated to canada, she doesn't know english and is not even bothering to learn it, she is learning spanish, she says there are plenty of spanish speakers there and everyone she works around speaks it anyway. she lives in charlottetown.

maybe in country, but canadians seem to always want to ensure everyone in the world knows they are canadians, they all seem to shop at the same store and buy little canadian flag looking things to hang off of their backpacks.
