'So I was sick of my calipers dragging slightly because of the slide bushings being so tight. Everytime I took the wheels off, I turn the rotor/hub by hand and can't belive how hard the brakes drag.
-The 2 holes on the caliper where the rubber boot for the slide pins goes through tend to rust. This rusting "puffs up" causing more pressure on the rubber that the bushings slides through.
-So I took a die grinder to the caliper slide pin holes and opened them up slightly to allow for free movement of the slide bushing inside the rubber sleeve. Then I took the slide bushings to my polishing wheel and made them shine. They looked new to begin with, but now they slide and shine like they should. Fresh silicone lube and bled brakes makes me a happy camper. Cheers.
